Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

1. Who you're agreeing with

These terms are between you and ReadMyBlueprint ("we," "us"), operated by ReadMyBlueprint LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. What ReadMyBlueprint is — and isn't

ReadMyBlueprint is an assisted takeoff tool for vector PDF construction plans. It measures real vector geometry against a scale you calibrate, and it flags material specs it can confidently match against your plan set's own legend/schedule text.

It is not a fully automatic takeoff service, and it never claims to be. Specifically:

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@readmyblueprint.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

5. Money-back guarantee

If you're not satisfied, email support@readmyblueprint.com within 7 days of your purchase (or your most recent subscription renewal) and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked. Refunds go back to your original payment method and may take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank.

This guarantee applies to Solo Estimator and Per Upload. The free first plan set involves no payment, so there is nothing to refund on it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use ReadMyBlueprint to do anything illegal, to try to access another customer's data, to reverse-engineer or scrape the service, or to resell access without our written agreement.

7. Your plans, our software

You own everything you upload — your plan sets, the takeoff data and material mappings you create. We claim no rights to them beyond what's needed to run the service for you. The ReadMyBlueprint software, website, and brand remain ours.

8. Business use, and the EU/UK right of withdrawal

ReadMyBlueprint is built for professional and business use by construction estimators, contractors, and similar businesses — not for personal or household use. If you're a private consumer purchasing under EU or UK consumer-protection law, that law normally gives you a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase before it's fulfilled.

Because ReadMyBlueprint starts processing your plan set as soon as you upload it after purchase, uploading a plan set is your express request that we begin performing the service immediately, and you acknowledge that doing so ends the statutory withdrawal right once that performance is complete. Where Section 5's money-back guarantee applies to your purchase, this does not reduce or replace it — we offer that guarantee on top of, not instead of, any withdrawal right that otherwise applies.

9. Your responsibility

You're solely responsible for verifying every quantity ReadMyBlueprint produces before it goes into a bid, purchase order, or contract — see Section 2. You agree to cover any claim, loss, or expense we incur because of your use of a quantity without the verification the app asked for, or because of your violation of Section 6 (Acceptable use).

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

ReadMyBlueprint is provided "as is," and nothing in it constitutes professional engineering, architectural, or estimating advice — it's a measurement tool, used under your own professional judgment. Given the accuracy principle in Section 2, we are not liable for bid errors, cost overruns, or other losses resulting from a quantity that was clearly flagged as unverified/ambiguous and used without the confirmation the app asked for.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited — for example, liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

11. Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 6, with notice where practical.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@readmyblueprint.com — most issues can be resolved directly and quickly that way.

If you're an EU consumer, you can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Any dispute not resolved informally or through that platform is subject to the courts of the State of Minnesota, USA.

13. Events outside our control

Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by something reasonably outside our control — for example, an outage at a hosting or payment provider we rely on, an internet or power failure, or a change in law.

14. General

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service — they replace any earlier discussion or agreement on the same subject. We may transfer these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business; you may not transfer your account to someone else without our consent.

15. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we'll email account holders before it takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
