● For estimating & takeoff services

Keep more of every flat-fee takeoff.

Your client pays one price for a drywall and framing takeoff, whether it takes two hours or eight. ReadMyBlueprint does the counting pass from the PDF in minutes, so your estimators spend their time checking the walls that need judgment, not tracing every line.

The problem this solves

Turnaround is what you sell, and tracing walls is what eats it.

A 24–48 hour turnaround promise and a fixed fee per job means every hour spent measuring partitions and cross-referencing a wall-type legend comes straight out of your margin. Big sets, tight deadlines and a queue of client plans all land on the same few estimators.

ReadMyBlueprint reads the PDF's real geometry and the plan's own wall-type legend, then returns stud, track, board, insulation and CMU counts with every quantity labeled matched, ambiguous or needs-confirmation. Your estimator reviews the short list of uncertain walls, confirms them in one click, and exports the numbers into your own deliverable.

Why it fits a real bidding workflow

Built to slot into what you already do.

What speeds you up

  • Drywall, metal and wood framing, insulation and CMU in one pass
  • Confidence labels: your QA time goes to the flagged walls only
  • CSV/Excel export into your own client deliverable and templates
  • $49 per plan set or $199/month for 10: less than one hour of estimator time

What you're not giving up

  • Full traceability — every number ties back to real measured geometry
  • No black-box accuracy claim to take on faith — see how labels work
  • Works alongside OST, PlanSwift or Bluebeam; it doesn't replace them
  • A real API if you want to pull results into your own tools
FAQ

Questions estimating firms ask.

Can we use the results in deliverables we send our own clients?
Yes. Export to CSV or Excel and put the quantities into your own templates and reports; the results are yours.
What about scanned plans?
ReadMyBlueprint only measures digital (vector) PDFs exported from CAD. On a scanned set it tells you plainly that it can't read it, rather than guessing, so you know to take that job by hand.
How accurate is it on real plan sets?
It depends on the set. Walls that match the plan's own wall-type legend are counted automatically; the rest come back flagged for a one-click confirmation instead of guessed. See a real 21-page test, including what didn't resolve.
We have several estimators. Is there multi-seat pricing?
Solo Estimator is one seat with 10 plan sets a month; Per Upload credits work for overflow. Email sales@readmyblueprint.com about higher volume.
