Enter the wall length and spacing to get stud and track counts for a steel-framed wall, the same math ReadMyBlueprint uses on a full plan set.
Studs = wall length ÷ spacing + 1 (one extra to close the run). Track runs top and bottom, so it's twice the wall length in 10 ft sticks. Add studs at every corner, opening and intersection; this is a straight-run starting point.
At 16" on center it's 0.75 studs per linear foot plus one to close each run, so a 100 ft run needs 76 studs before corners, openings and waste. At 24" on center it's 0.5 per foot.
Track runs along the floor and the ceiling, so you need twice the wall length. 100 ft of wall needs 200 ft of track: 20 ten-foot sticks before waste.
5–10% is common for straight runs; go higher for walls with many openings, corners or short segments.
